Don’t miss the S.A.G.E. Forum Series
(Saving the Agings’ Great Experiences)

The Forum is every other Thursday from August to October.
 Meetings are on 8/14, 8/28, 9/11, 9/25 & 10/9 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Community  Room at the Creative Thought Center at 741 S. Haywood St., Waynesville

Here is what some folks have to say about the Forum...

“It was wonderful to be with so many like minded people of the same age group.  We all shared a lot of the same ideas and experiences.”
- Jay Buchner

“The first SAGE Forum was more than I expected, I loved the interaction, humor, and candid wisdom from everyone who offered their experiences of life.  Looking forward the next session!”
- Pastor Frank Kish

"The forum's discussion topics were stimulating and the interaction with other participants was very satisfying. It's a great venue for meeting new people and sharing ideas on issues that hit close to home." - SK, Crabtree

Why the S.A.G.E. Forum??? Remember when the answers to life’s challenges use to be simple...

1.  We made sound decisions based on common sense & family values!
2.  We developed good judgment based on life experience!
3.  We relied on the wisdom of our elders to help solve life’s challenges!

Now, children grow up & move away, grandparents retire elsewhere & whole neighborhoods disintegrate. We’re disconnected from the wisdom compiled through generations of our own families & the communities in which we live. Many have lost touch with our shared values, common sense & feelings of connection with our history... at least until now.

Overview: The S.A.G.E. Forum is the first-ever, sustained effort to gather the wealth of life experience, common sense & good judgment of the elders in our community who have proven their ability to lead fulfilling lives & effectively deal with normal life challenges!

This forum gives us the opportunity to tap the knowledge & competencies of those successful elders in our community who have real-life solutions.

This is your chance to “reinvest” your life wisdom in your community by helping to pass on to younger generations the knowledge you gained from your real-world experience. If you are becoming increasingly concerned about the unsettling changes in our society but, up until now, were uncertain how to respond, the... S.A.G.E. Forum is right for YOU!
